As the NFL season enters into Week 15, the stakes are higher than ever, with teams jockeying for playoff berths and positioning. Here are my top picks for Week 15.
Pick #1:
Buccaneers vs. Packers (-3.5)
Pick: Buccaneers at +3.5
As we approach a pivotal matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers, both teams find themselves at a critical juncture with identical 6-7 records. In the late stages of the season, where every game carries playoff implications, this showdown is poised to be a defining moment for both franchises.
One striking statistic is the Buccaneers’ remarkable 6-1 record against the spread on the road, showcasing their ability to perform well in challenging away environments.
With both teams striving to secure a playoff berth, the question arises: which is the better team? Right now with 3.5 points, it is the Bucs.
Pick #2:
Commanders at Rams (-6.5)
Pick: Rams -6.5
In the upcoming clash between the Washington Commanders and the Los Angeles Rams, all eyes are on the home team as they look to capitalize on their recent positive momentum. The Rams had a strong game against the Ravens on the road and that will continue this week as they try to close the season out on a high (and make the playoffs!)
Pick #3 (teaser):
Chiefs (-9.5) at Patriots
Pick: Chiefs at -3.5
The Chiefs have had a couple of tough losses in recent games, leaving fans questioning whether Patrick Mahomes has lost his magic touch. However, we’re betting that the superstar quarterback is far from losing his mojo. Despite the Patriots’ recent win over the Steelers, they didn’t look particularly convincing, especially against a struggling Trubisky-led offense. Expect Mahomes to showcase his magic once again, steering the Chiefs to a strong finish this season. This game will remind NFL fans that the Chiefs remain a force to be reckoned with, possibly even echoing their Super Bowl-winning form from last year.
49ers (-13.5) at Cardinals
Pick: 49ers at -7.5
The 49ers, led by quarterback Brock Purdy and the dynamic Deebo Samuel, have found a winning formula on offense. The synergy between Purdy and Samuel makes the 49ers a potent force, and facing the Cardinals, it’s hard to envision them slowing down. The 49ers seem poised to secure a comfortable victory, likely by more than a touchdown and a field goal. With their offense firing on all cylinders, this game could further solidify the 49ers’ position as the top contender in the NFC.
Pick #4 (double pick)
Jets at Dolphins (-9.5)
Pick: Jets at +9.5
The New York Jets are riding high after an emotional week and a convincing win over the Texans, setting the stage for an intriguing division matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Jets, with a solid defensive performance, managed to make CJ Stroud look more like Bryce Young.
One standout from the game was quarterback Zach Wilson, who finally lived up to his #2 pick status, earning the AFC Offensive Player of the Week title. Wilson showcased his talent, letting it rip and making some impressive plays, instilling hope and confidence in the Jets’ playoff aspirations.
On the other side of the field, the Dolphins are coming off a tough loss to the Titans, a game they should have won. Despite a fumble recovery and turnovers that initially positioned them well, they stumbled and failed.
Star receiver Tyreek Hill is not at 100%, which is concerning for a spread over a touchdown.
As the Jets aim to stay alive in the playoff hunt and the Dolphins strive to secure a bye week for the first round of the playoffs, this game becomes a crucial battleground for both teams.
